The FAE will expand its cooperation with the French alpine skiing team

Kevin Courrieu, speed racer, will be the one who will mainly receive the influence of the collaboration

The Andorran Ski Federation (FAE) officially presented its sponsorship agreement with the company AutoFactoria (Andorran subsidiary of Caropticom), located in Andorra la Vella. The event was attended by the CEOs of AutoFactoria, Ada Amengual and Olivier Amengual; the president of the FAE, Josep Pintat, and the manager of the FAE, Carles Visa. Likewise, the director of the alpine section, Max Tissot, was also part of the telematics, and it was the latter who said that the federation “will increase its relationship with the French alpine ski team, especially in the preseason ». “It’s a cooperation that benefits us all,” said Tissot, also referring to speed racer Kevin Courrieu, who has been seen as the only representative of the federation in this type of race, after the withdrawal of Matías Vargas of the competitive scenario.

Initially, it is expected that both Courrieu and his coach, Christophe Fivel, will be fully integrated into the training schedule of the French team, while other Andorran runners, such as Joan Verdú, could participate in some stays in France with the European Cup group. “At the moment, nothing is planned beyond the pre-season. We think that where we can win more is in this phase, more in the second part of it, from September. During the winter, it is true, there will be moments of preparation where we will join France, but this is nothing new. The plus for us would be the preseason, ”explained Tissot. On the other hand, the director of the alpine section also updated the situation of some of his own names, such as Joan Verdú, Cande Moreno and Carla Mijares. As for Verdú, “he is perfect from the fall. He will now finish his free time and will start official training next Monday. We do not rule out his participation in the first event of the season, it is an important appointment, but we will see how the pre-season goes “, he declared. Regarding Moreno, “we are confident that the work he is doing will bear fruit and that everything is going very well,” said Tissot, adding that “Mijares has options to go to the Olympics, but the federation must take into account the places it can grant ”.

The event ended with the signing of the agreement by all parties involved. The agreement signed between the FAE and AutoFactoria is for one year, and the president of the FAE, Josep Pintat, expressed his gratitude to the company, “even more so when the current situation is so complicated.” The intention of both parties is to go year after year and be able to expand the collaboration in the future. Both Ada and Olivier Amengual were “very happy to be part of the project of the alpine section and the FAE, with which we share similar values. We hope that this agreement will last a long time and for us it is an honor to be able to contribute everything we can to the FAE »For his part, the manager of the FAE, Carles Visa, also endorsed the Andorran candidacy for the 2027 World Cup : “For the 2027 World Cup we must believe in our possibilities. The FIS is very happy with our candidacy.
