Wort: Entrepreneur of the Year: six top finalists

The president of FEDIL and president of the jury, Robert Dennewald, presented on Friday morning in Munsbach at E&Y the six finalists of the Entrepreneur of the year competition, organized by Ernst & Young with the BGL-BNP Paribas, Audi and Le Foyer.

(TL) – “You won’t know anything!” The president of FEDIL and of the jury for the Entrepreneur of the Year competition, Robert Dennewald, would almost laugh at the journalists gathered for the press conference presenting the six finalists of the competition. He knows. But he will remain the only one to know.

Of the 38 candidates, including three women for the first time, for the fourth edition of this competition organized by Ernst & Young, only six are still in the running for the final victory, the results of which will be announced on December 2 at the Chapito in Mondorf-les-Bains .

Ada and Olivier Amengual – Aero: a purchasing center for new or used vehicles in several European countries.
René Elvinger – Cebi International: specialized in construction in the automotive and household appliances sector.

F. and P. Thein – Hein: develops, manufactures and distributes bakery and pastry ovens.

René Grosbusch – Marcel Grosbusch and son : purchase, storage and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables. Christiane Wickler – Pall Center Operation: from a simple gas station to a complete shopping center. Norbert Friob – Préfalux: specialized in timber construction, roofing and finishing work.

For his file to be accepted, the candidate had to meet three conditions: hold at least 10% of the company’s capital, that this company has been established in Luxembourg for at least three years and that the turnover is at least 2 , 5 million euros. After an initial review of the files by E&Y, the jury, independently, heard the candidates for four to eight hours and selected six.

The competition, organized for the fourth time in Luxembourg (2004, 2006 and 2009) and since 1986 in the United States, is this year not only supported by BGL BNP Paribas, but also by Audi and Le Foyer.

The winner will receive a recommendation from the audit firm with benchmarking and avenues to follow for further development, will be integrated into the global network of entrepreneurs set up by E&Y and will represent Luxembourg in the competition for the world’s entrepreneur, from 4 on June 8, 2014 in Monte-Carlo.

For the first time, there will be a special jury prize this year. Here again, “shhh”, the secret will be preserved until a gala evening, extended this year to civil society.
